Anderson Homestead, Easton, WA

Great Grandpa Anderson sailed the seas from Europe to Seattle and jumped ship, making his way over the mountains to the East. He came upon this little valley and began to work the land & build his homestead. He sent for a mail order bride and when she arrived, they soon started their family, ending with 13 children, the youngest one is my husbands grandmother, Esther Faudree. They were all raised in this small farm house.

The homestead was sold in the 60's to a wonderful family that allowed us to have a family afternoon picnic last fall, 2005, to spend some time reflecting on the family history. Only one small building is left that Great Grandpa Anderson built. The painting was done with old black and white photo's and family memories.
