This barn is located just outside of Cashmere down the highway from the Anjou Bakery. I have always liked this barn and when driving to Wenatchee I would see Tom Griffith's jeep out by the orchard. Gary and I used to do yard care for the Griffith's so I thought I would give them a call and see who owned it.

The 'Yenter family' were the original owners. Built in the 20's he thought they may have used it for farm animals because there is a hay loft inside. It was then owned by Mr. Boseden in the 40's, who was an uncle of Tom's on his mother's side.

Louis Weythman bought it next and sometime in the 80's a car crashed into the wall and made a hole that he never bothered to repair. Tom bought the orchard and barn in 1990 and the hole is still there! He uses the barn for equipment storage for the orchard. I have always called it the "Little Red Barn on the Highway"
